At Green Salon, I was required to implement a structured internship program to cultivate young talent and contribute to the company's growth. This case study examines the process of recruiting, developing, and supporting interns, with a particular focus on social media skill development.
Methodology:
Talent Acquisition: Developed a comprehensive internship role, leveraging university career centres and online platforms to source qualified candidates. A structured interview process was implemented to assess skills, aptitude, and cultural fit.
Onboarding and Development: A robust onboarding program was created, encompassing company culture, values, and expectations. The mentorship was paired with training sessions covering various business aspects, including social media platforms, Green Salon’s brand identity and our sustainability criteria.
Social Media Focus: Interns gained hands-on experience managing social media channels through dedicated projects. 1:1 training sessions with me on content creation, community management, and affiliate marketing were provided.
Support and Growth: Regular check-ins, open communication, and opportunities for skill development were integral to the program.
